In the spirit of the universal Hungarian responsibility across national boundaries, the organization considers the Carpathian Basin as its primary area of activity. Our Charity Service is an aid organization with a Protestant background that is engaged with relief and development based on Christian values. It believes that human life represents the best value in the world. It helps with its humanitarian tools regardless of race, gender, religion and political affiliation.

From the beginning, its financing is entirely dedicated to educational and humanitarian aid in the world. In the case of funds raised under the "EU banks for Ukraine" action, the aid will be allocated to accommodation for Ukrainian refugees, providing emergency financial assistance to Ukrainian refugees and the purchase of medical supplies for hospitals located in Ukraine.

The Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta has launched three assistance programmes to support refugee families. With the help of the Charity Service of the Order of Malta in Berehovo, we are helping refugees on the other side of the border who are staying in their homes or arriving there. We provide direct assistance and information to arrivals at the Maltese shelter on the Hungarian side of the border. Thirdly, we provide care for families already accommodated throughout the country as needed.

The Foundation has created a special "Ukraine solidarity fund", the role of which is a a support to civil society organisations that provide systematic and long-term assistance to people fleeing war in Ukraine. Grants are awarded to organisations providing direct humanitarian, medical, legal, psychological, social assistance to people crossing the border, as well as to organisations offering long-term support in Poland.

ARC's role is to collect, centralize and administer donations, communicate with donors, gather needs on the ground and allocate resources to the consortium. We want to take the pressure of fundraising from the organizations present on the ground, experts in their fields of intervention. The role of the organizations in the consortium is to gather the needs on the ground and to be actively involved in carrying out emergency interventions and in creating transit centers.

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, structure subordinated to the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs, has opened accounts where donations can be made, in lei and foreign currency, for the provision of support and humanitarian assistance to foreign citizens and stateless persons in special situations coming from the area of the armed conflict in Ukraine.
